Fabio R. Lattuca is an Italian sound artist based in Palermo. As described in his bio, he works as musicologist and researcher on soundscape and acoustic ecology.
His new album “Matter” is a masterpiece of electronic sounds with a focus on nicely worked out drone and noise soundwalls. The album consists of 6 tracks but also works as one long track.
The origin of “Matter” is a live set, which Lattuca presented under his moniker “Hatori Yumi”. On this base he reworked the set and created the more detailed and more personal studio version under his real name. You hear field recordings with deep and massive basslines highlighted by epic drone-noise-soundwalls. The warm sound of the album leaves an enduring impression.
“Matter” comes in a limited edition of 50 frosted white tapes with full colour printed o-cards.
